General Terms and Conditions of Participation

Personal Training

Costs

  1. Private training sessions with a duration of 60 minutes are charged according to the following price list:

  2. Package prices for 5, 10 or 20 training sessions apply only when the total amount is paid in advance.
    2.1 The booked training sessions must take place within 12 months. After this period, they expire without replacement or reimbursement.
    2.2 A refund will be provided only if all training sessions are cancelled at least 24 hours before the first training session.
    2.3 The cancellation fee is 20% of the total amount paid.
  3. The total amount must be paid in advance, no later than before the beginning of the individual or first training session.
    3.1 An invoice showing VAT separately can be issued upon request.
  4. Travel within Berlin is charged at €49 including VAT. Travel outside Berlin is charged by individual arrangement.
  5. For groups of more than two participants, an additional group charge applies for each additional participant.

Contractual Conditions

  1. Under this contract, the contracting party may participate in the booked private self-defence course on the agreed dates.
  2. The instructor accepts no liability for damage or injuries caused by the participant's own fault.
  3. The instructor accepts no liability for accidents specific to the sport.
    3.1 Martial arts and self-defence are classified as contact sports.
  4. The instructor points out that participants in the self-defence courses are not covered by accident insurance for sporting accidents occurring during the training.
    4.1 Taking out appropriate accident insurance is the responsibility of the contracting party.
  5. No liability can be accepted for valuables or clothing.
  6. Cancellations must be made no later than 24 hours before the agreed training time.
    6.1 In the event of a later cancellation or failure to cancel, the training session will be charged in full.
  7. The contracting party understands that various forms of protective equipment are required when practising the sport in order to protect themselves and their training partners.
  8. This contract applies to all individual sessions and package sessions purchased.
  9. The fee per session may change. The contracting party will be notified of any change in writing and in good time before purchasing further sessions.

Declaration by the Contracting Party

  1. There are no medical reasons preventing me from participating in the training.
  2. I understand that injuries cannot be completely ruled out when practising a contact sport, even when the greatest possible care is taken.
  3. I am fully fit and medically able to participate in sport.
    3.1 In case of doubt, I will consult a doctor before beginning the training.
  4. Before the training session begins, I will inform the instructor of any medical conditions that may be relevant, including chronic illnesses or injuries.
  5. I undertake to exercise the necessary caution at all times when practising the training techniques.
  6. I undertake to treat the training facilities and equipment with care and to report any damage immediately.
  7. I confirm that my certificate of conduct contains no entries relating to violent offences and that no corresponding court proceedings are pending against me.
  8. I confirm that I will use the techniques learned only in an emergency and for the purpose of self-defence.

Data Protection and the Processing, Storage, Transmission and Use of Personal Data

  1. When the contract is concluded, the following personal data is collected:
    First and last name, registered address, residential address if different from the registered address, email address, telephone number, date of birth and, where applicable, bank details.
    1.1 This information is stored in an IT system operated by Benjamin Meyer himself.
    1.2 Each contracting party is assigned a unique identification number and a QR code.
    1.3 Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against access by third parties.
  2. Other information is generally processed internally only when this is necessary for the use of the course services and there is no indication that the person concerned has a legitimate interest that conflicts with such processing.
  3. Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties.
  4. When this contract is terminated or after the final training session, the last name, registered address, residential address, email address, telephone number and date of birth will be deleted from the IT system within eight weeks.
  5. Personal data relating to payment administration will be retained for up to ten years from the written confirmation of termination in accordance with applicable tax regulations.
